The 3 of Viggo Mortensen

Lord of the Rings Actor Viggo Mortensen came to the Film Festival in Gent to introduce his outstanding new movie A history of Violence. We asked him about the three things that are currently most important in his life.

1. Health: 'not just my own but that of everyone and the whole planet. If the planet is not healthy, humanity will not survive.'

2. Communication: 'With a little more communication a lot of misery in this world coud have been prevented and there would not have been situations like my country invading Iraq like that. '

3. Luck: 'I think that I have been very lucky in recent years. The Lord of the Ring films and Hidalgo were very successful and my two latest movies 'A history of violence and Alatriste have given me much personal satisfaction.'
